Music at St Joseph's
We have a thriving musical community at St Joseph's and are proud to foster a love of both performing and appreciation.
Musical Instrument Lessons
We are able to arrange for children to enjoy lessons for a great range of instruments. Many children learn piano, guitar and violin but others choose recorder, viola and other instruments.
Our Choirs
We have two school choirs, currently totalling over 100 members from Year 3 to 6, who perform in school, for the Parish and for the local community on a regular basis. We regularly support charity events, such as fundraising for a mission in Zambia and the Epsom Hospital medical equipment fund. They also attend a range of festivals, performing at venues across the area.
Annual Epsom Schools Music Festival It was a joy to see and hear our year six choir who performed at the Playhouse. They were wonderful and received many compliments.
School Band
We have a school band who regularly perform in school and lead the worship at school and parish masses. Annual events such as the instrumental recital, gives opportunities for performance at all levels and are enjoyed across the school. The band meet weekly and are superbly led by Mrs de Sausmarez, our music specialist.
