Drone Tour of the School

During the autumn term 2020 we were unable to invite visitors into the school. A friend of the school took some drone footage for us and the results are excellent. This will give you a virtual tour of our immense grounds and allow you to see the wonderful resources we have on site for our children.

The film starts with the outside area used by the Reception classes and then it pans out across the playground which you will see is large and well resourced with play huts, a stage and a climbing wall. You then pass over the trim trail which is very popular with the children.

Next you see the gazebo and the large story-telling chair. Children play here during their breaks and teachers use the space for stories and liturgies.

The next section is the school pond, which looks quite autumnal but during the summer is teeming with life and is used for pond dipping and as a location for art work. You see the prayer garden and the wooded areas where children work and play. The potting shed is where we prepare plants for growing in the allotment area.

Simon of Cyrene greets you next, an oak commissioned piece of art, which is one of our fifteen Stations of the Cross spaced around the grounds. This is used during Lent as we walk the way of the cross and at other times for prayer.

Next we see an aerial view of our parish church, located adjacent to the school and then our two large playing fields, which is where we have running tracks, football and rounders pitches marked out. You will see that our grounds are entirely enclosed, behind high fences and is very safe.  There are no roads and so our children enjoy a pollution free, quiet environment for their school experience.

We then enter the Randall Wood Forest School area and you will glimpse Mr Randall, who is our Forest School teacher. Children work in Randall Wood on a rota on a weekly basis and they have a wonderful learning experience with woodcraft, insect and animal observation, tool management and fire safety.

Finally we visit the front door of our wonderful parish church, where you will glance the food boxes for the Epsom Foodbank, a charity we support.
